For this book, I replicated the style of ‘the Tale of Strong Roots‘ while incorporating all I’ve learned the past year about color and paint- including letting my brush marks show!
Mark-making is the true signature of an artist, and is what sets one style apart from another.
So now I let my paint strokes proudly fly their unique flag best suited to your stories!

Meet the Illustrator
Rebeckah Gerstner is an illustrator who is best friends with her inner child.
She hopes her art will help kids feel that life is worth living and joy can be found everywhere.
Rebeckah is based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in Texas. She graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho with a degree in Narrative Illustration and is an active member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, with notable awards like the Mother’s choice and the Kirkus ‘Get it‘ award.
